Although many attempts (matrix management, empowerment, etc.) have been featured as trying to overcome the hierarchical rigidity that has limited effectiveness, the trappings of history remain. This is due to our perceived insecurity of not being in control of those things for which we are accountable. The reality is that we have never really been in control due to the random influences that permeate every non-linear system, of which business is one. This has become painfully apparent as control has become a social system and requires a completely new set of behaviors if we hope to be successful. This extraordinary seminar provides an awakening.
